I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, biking, racquetball, board games, and socializing with friends!
I’m passionate about science communication and engaging the public to establish a productive dialogue regarding climate change. I’ve worked closely with Rotary Clubs, K-12 school groups, theologians, military and government officials at all levels, and multidisciplinary academics to help them understand the science and to communicate it themselves within their own networks.
I’ve enjoyed educating the next generation by serving as a teacher and mentor to several summer programs, and as a guest lecturer in both undergraduate and graduate courses.
I was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, leaving me with an affinity for BBQ and generally hapless sports franchises. That is except for the 2020, 2022, and 2023 Super Bowl Champs, the Kansas City Chiefs!
